Me. Well let’s see…the usual stats. Full name is Stacey Nicole Huys. 38-years-young. Born and raised in the Midwest. Mishawaka, Indiana. Living in and renovating the home my mom and dad built forty-one years ago. The one I grew up in. My day job is the family business, Jordan-Huys Moving & Storage. Again, I grew up in it. My official title there is Sales Consultant, Technology & Marketing Manager. My side gigs are Young Living Essential Oils and party planning.

I like roots. I like tradition. And home and family is my everything.

Speaking of family…I have a mom, Sharon, dad, Bill, an older sister, Jacki, an older brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Jala, two nephews, Taben and Rylan, and younger sister, Stephanie. I have been in a domestic partnership with Kevin for thirteen years. I have a daughter, Cheyenne, two stepsons, Austin and Alec, a daughter-in-law, Alexis, and a newborn grandson, Oliver. A beloved Yorkie, Wrigley. And a not-so-beloved fish, Dale.

I have struggled with my health the last two years…still don’t have a lot of answers, but I do have a lot of symptoms. Currently, gluten-free. Vegetarian for twenty-two years.

I’m an introvert to the core. My enjoyments are reading, writing, photography, decorating, creating. Music. Dogs. I love road trips. I love the water. Being in, on, or near it brings me an inner peace only a kindred soul would understand.

I rarely shared my writings prior to this, but my daughter reads most and has been encouraging me to do something with them. So here it is…
